GROW Your Church
GROW Your Church, an initiative of the General Conference Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Department, is a biblical strategy based on Christ’s method of making disciples. It provides the foundation for both personal disciple-making and local church disciple-making plans and ministries.
A Biblical Strategy
Isaiah compared the growth of righteousness to a budding plant springing forth from a seed sown in a garden (see Isa. 61:11). Similarly, Jesus and Paul likened Christ`s method of making disciples to the agricultural growth cycle (see Matt. 9:37, 38; Luke 8:11; 10:2; 1 Cor. 3:6; 2 Cor. 9:6). This biblical analogy can be used to describe five essential phases of disciple-making.
